Salvatore Council: Reviewing Any Fantasy and Supernatural That TV Has to Offer

As all of you know, Teal and I co-created the Salvatore Council almost 2 years ago, mutually deciding to kick the show off by reviewing only one TV show.  With the CW’s Vampire Diaries’ popularity at the time, the choice was a no-brainer.  And so Salvatore Council: A Vampire Diaries Podcast was born.

Our panel has had the privilege of interviewing individuals straight from the set of Vampire Diaries and authors of analytical books about the series. Yet it was always our intention to eventually expand.  Since May 2010 we have done just that, adding two co-hosts and assembling a following of well over 10,000 listeners internationally. We’ve been accredited with 4th most listened to podcast on the Internet and now sit at 7thplace even after taking a 3 month hiatus.

Now it is finally happening. Salvatore Council is officially taking on a brand new set of co-hosts and discussion topics.

The official panel members of all the sections now include:

And every week, in a 4-week rotation, a multi-person panel will discuss, debate and drool over one of the four subjects:

  • The Vampire Diaries
  • ABC's Once Upon a Time
  • (Listener's Choice: Vote Below)
  • and a Special Topic Episode with ALL hosts

What would you like to hear us talk about? As always we still want as much of your opinion as possible so the Listener’s Choice category stated above will be chosen based on your votes!

If you're interested in the commitment that comes with being in a weekly podcast all you have to do right now is email in your name, country, your top 4 choices of the shows mentioned above (TVD, OUAT, Revenge, Lost Girl, Awake, Smash, Terra Nova) and a blurb about yourself. Who are you and why do you want to join the podcast? There is no word limit.

We are looking to add 1-2 fresh voices to the show and the only requirement is that your schedule is  flexible and you are dependable enough to talk about any of the mentioned shows even if you don't get the one you want. Pre-Holiday Catch up

As for now, Salvatore Council is OFFICIALLY deemed "Under Construction."  The Council are deciding what our next move will be in regards to the podcast with Tealey still M.I.A, with Simone's new upcoming project and move, and with the hopes that we would would have been expanding by this time.

I want to acknowledge you, our fans who are so so very patient with us and we want to thank you ALL from the deepest darkest bottomest parts of our collective hearts for sticking with us.  We're proud of the followers we've built in the past year and we hope that as we enter 2012, we can give you a few presents and surprises for just being the awesome people you are.

To answer a few questions:

Yes, there are episodes in the editing room, gathering dust.  I will have the first free week in a looooooong time very soon and that is when you will see them.

Yes, hopefully we haven't scared Candace away and she will be joining our panel for a while longer. You havent heard the last of TVD Gandalf!

Yes, you will hear Teal's beautiful voice again if every single one of you remember to put that on your x-mas wish list.

Date-wise, the earliest I can promise (for fear of breaking it) is that I will at least have a update episode released before 2011 is up but the episodes have pretty slim chances of getting posted.

Again, everyone, I can't express how much we all thank you for staying tuned or how much it means to us so I'll just end with "stay safe over the holidays!"

Episode 32 Hello, Brother.

It's that time of year again... And it's not just Simone's birthday its ALSO the return of Vampire Diaries!!! Salvatore Council starts out the Season with a full panel as Candace, Tiffany, Christie, and Maria join Jason and Simone to discuss the premiere episode, The Birthday.

In Episode 32:

  • -Maria gives us the low down on where we left off in the place of the usual J-Up-to-Date.
  • -We take on the episode headstrong leaving little to nothing out.

‎Jason just informed me and Romancia (@romancialove on twitter) that he no longer finds Michael Trevino attractive... I feel a huge unbalance in the world.... a shift... Romancia compares it to a bomb being dropped... TVD-ers the world as we know it is changing... Prepare for 2012
